The group have purchased another Tamper. 73250 from the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
The Tamper arrived on Monday 17th June.
This tamper is a few years younger, being built in 1977 and looks very similar however beneath the skin the Tamper is more suited to computer control, taking pressure off the operators trying to achieve the required track design position.
Below is the Tamper.
You could also use the tractor units own winch, but a reach wagon can be easier.
The Front trolley is running on the rail when it should be clear.
